Mathew T. Eng and J. Brian Nicewander are no strangers to the roots of melodic hardcore and punk evident in their songs.

Described as having tapped into the urgency and intensity of prime era innovators like Hüsker Dü and Fugazi, along with contemporary indie acts, Han Gan draw on their collective roots to create compositions familiar to the inculcated, but accessible to all.
